Are you ready for Quentin Tarantino’s new film project? If you browsed through the recently published Black List, you saw that a Tarantino film entitled “Django Unchained” was smack dab in the middle of the list. Well, it’s a go and in pre-production with the cast already being announced. Already there are alot of heavy hitters attached including Leo Dicaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Principal location for filming appears to be in my home state of Louisiana. You can always expect some great and interesting things from Tarantino so this shouldn’t be an exception. More on the film’s premise:
Synopsis: In the American South during the 1800s, a slave named Django is set free by Dr. King Schultz a German bounty hunter so he can help track down some criminal brothers/slavers who had owned him previously. After their initial team-up, the new friends continue to ride along together during which Dr. Schultz teaches Django how to be a proficient professional outlaw catcher. When Schultz later learns of Django’s estranged slave wife Broomhilda, who was sold off to a wealthy plantation owner named Calvin Candie, the two men hatch a plan to infiltrate Candie’s estate and rescue her.
