The Biblical Noah suffers visions of an apocalyptic deluge and takes measures to protect his family from the coming flood.

The twitterverse is a buzz this morning as the first trailer for the Darron Aronofsky-directed biblical epic Noah was released. Aronofsky is best known for dark, cerebral fare that messes with your psyche for weeks (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream) so I can understand the initial excitement on how his twisted imagination would translate to the story of the arc. However, even with all the long-haired Russel Crowe-ness and wise Anthony Hopkins-ness, I can’t say that I’m too excited or all that interested. I’m not getting much Aronofsky from this. Guess I’m in the minority? I rather hold out for Exodus. Tell me what I’m missing here folks; why are you excited for this movie? —> Comment
